Canadiens Advance To Eastern Conference Final

(Boston, MA) -- The Montreal Canadiens advanced to the Eastern Conference Final. Max Pacioretty's second period goal held up as the Canadiens beat the Bruins, 3-1, in Game Seven of their East semifinal series. Dale Weise scored in the first period, while Daniel Briere lit the lamp late in the third for the Habs, who face the New York Rangers in the conference finals starting Saturday in Montreal. Carey Price made 29 saves in the win. Jarome Iginla scored the lone goal for the B's, who lost the final two games of the series. Tuukka Rask allowed all three goals on 18 shots in defeat.


Kings Force Game Seven Back To Anaheim

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Trevor Lewis scored the eventual game-winner 14 minutes into the second period to lift the Kings over the Ducks 2-1 in Game Six of their Western Conference semifinals from the STAPLES Center. Jake Muzzin also scored for Los Angeles, which evened the best-of-seven series at 3-3. Jonathan Quick made 21 saves in the win. Josh Gibson allowed both goals on 23 attempts for the loss. Kyle Palmieri scored for Anaheim, which hosts Game Seven on Friday.
