Committee Meeting for Historic National Road Yard Sale Festival

There will be a meeting on Tuesday evening, February 28, 6 pm, at the Altamont Municipal Building Meeting Room for all businesses, organizations, churches, and individuals who would like to learn more about participating in this year's Historic National Road Yard Sale Festival.

This year's goal is to get the Festival to go through Teutopolis, Effingham, Altamont, St. Elmo, Brownstown, Vandalia, and along the road connecting each town in this area on May 31 - June 4.

Illinois has only sparsely participated in this 20 year old festival.  Hopefully, there will be participation through Illinois from Indiana to East St. Louis on the old National Road (Rt. 40).

Individuals from neighboring towns are encouraged to attend this meeting to get ideas to participate in their towns.
