EHS Vocal Jazz "Lunch Bunch" Ensemble Performance at the Effingham Public Library

There are few things better than a Saturday.  Even if that Saturday is in February because, let’s face it, it’s still cold outside.  If you would like something fun to do on a Saturday that doesn’t involve freezing, then come to the Library for a music performance from EHS’s latest group, the Vocal Jazz “Lunch Bunch” Ensemble.

EHS’s newest music ensemble is comprised of 15 singers ranging in age from Sophomores to Seniors and is led by Choral Director, Michael Lambton.  The group meets twice a week during their lunch hour for 25 minutes.  In that time they cover the basics of jazz repertoire, proper technique specialized for jazz, and they make music just for the fun of it.

The EHS Vocal Jazz “Lunch Bunch” Ensemble will perform at the Effingham Public Library on Saturday, February 18 at 11:30 AM.  This is a free performance.

The “Lunch Bunch” will be performing six songs, which will range from jazz standards by George Gershwin to Cole Porter, and other repertoire by jazz composer Matt Faulker and Manhattan Transfer.  This will be their second performance and they are excited to get out into the community and grow as a group.  According to Effingham Public Library Assistant Director, Alvin Ealy, “This is a great opportunity to support the kids in our community while also supporting the local arts.”

No registration is needed for this free performance.
