“Burn Out in The Burg” – Events all day in Strasburg!

A fun filled day is planned in Strasburg on October 7th. With so many events planned for the day, you will want to make sure you are at Strasburg Park to enjoy all the activities. The 2nd annual “Burn Out in The Burg” Car show kicks off at 11 am (Registration at 10 am). This year includes classes for cars, trucks, jeeps, and new this year, motorcycles. Winners in each class will once again receive the sought after custom trophies (made by Jason Edwards). The flea market and vendor fair will begin at 11 amas well. Caramel apples will be one of the highlights at the flea market. The kid’s carnival games will once again be available for all kids and will be run by the Stew-Stras Leo Club (all proceeds from the kid’s games will go to the Leo Club).

The Strasburg Lions Club will once again be serving their Oktoberfest Luncheon. Head to the south pavilion to fill up on sausage, sauerkraut, red cabbage and for those who want hamburgers, they will have those too. Lunch will be served 11 am – 2 pm. The kid’s “pimp my ride”, named after the 2000’s TV show, will once again be held at 12 Noon. Kids are encouraged to decorate their bikes, motorcycles, trikes, or any other “wheels” that they have. They will compete in their age groups (5-7 and 8-10 years old) to win a prize package. New this year, in the north pavilion, will be the model car, truck, semi, and motorcycle show. It is $5 for three entries, and then $1 for every entry after. A monetary prize will be awarded for people’s choice. Winners for events will be announced at2:30 pm for the model car show and 3 pm for the car show. SCAN will also have shirts available for purchase and will be doing raffles all day.
