St. Anthony Does Well At PGA National Invitational

Effingham St. Anthony High School competed in the PGA High School Boys Golf National Invitational Tournament Monday through Wednesday at Frisco, Texas.

The average high temperature for the tournament days was approximately 106 degrees.

The Bulldogs finished 35th overall with a tally of 983.

Round 1 Results at Fields Ranch East Course, Frisco, TX were:

Jonathan Willenborg - 78, Michael Martelli - 85, Lane Ludwig - 87, Preston Phillips - 97 and Joey Trupiano - 102 for a team score of 347.

Round 2 Results Tuesday  at The Tribute at The Colony Golf Club were:

Jonathan Willenborg - 73, Michael Martelli - 77, Dakota Flaig - 79, Lane Ludwig - 80 and Charlie Wegman - 80 for a team score of 309.

Round 3 Results Wednesday at Fields Ranch West, Frisco were:

Jonathan Willenborg - 79, Preston Phillips - 79, Joey Trupiano - 83, Dakota Flaig - 86 and Charlie Wegman - 86 for a team score of 327.

Low Individual was Jonathan Willenborg with a +14 (230) for 69th place.
