EHS Girls, Altamont Boys Claim Golf Victories

The Hearts scored a 206 followed by Sullivan 233 and Teutopolis 252.

Scoring for EHS were Marah Kirk and Marissa Allie with a 51 each. They were tied with Sullivan's Alyssa Shriver with a 51 for medailst honors.

Also scoring for the Hearts were Ella Niebrugge and Elena Niebrugge with a 52 each. Non-counting scores were Anna Hirtzel 55 and Coralin Ohnesorge 56.

Scoring for T-town were Mollie Koester and Hildi Niemerg with a 60 each, Margaret Wendte 65 and Josie Deters 67. Non-counter was Madi Deters 72.

Scoring for Sullivan were Shriver 51, Lara Herschberger 58, Ruby Haegan 61 and Shae Ellis 63. Non-counters were Ava Shriver 63 and Morgan Moll 64.

In boys competition, Sullivan clamied the win with a 176 followed by Effingham 184 and Teutopolis 189.

Scoring for Sullivan were Diepholz 42, Brett Bushue 43, Hagan 44 and Dwyer 47. Non-counters were Sandifer 48 and Ben Bushue 50.

Scoring for the Hearts were Ethan Ritz 44, Jett Volpi 46, Colby Haynes 47 and Nick Burgess 47. Non-counters were David Splechter 52, Joe Matteson 52 and Ryker Schneider 56.

Scoring for T-town were Ethan Thoele 45, Gabe Schlink 46, Peyton Tegler 47 and Adam Lustig 51. Other scores were Hayden Jansen 56 and Brody Thoele 56. Junior varsity scores were Bennet Thompson 50, Henry Thompson 58, Gavin Runde 59 and Hayden Zerrusen 63. The Wooden Shoes are 1-5 on the season.

At Tuscola

Altamont picked up a victory over three other teams Thursday at Tuscola.

The Indians tallied 164 followed by Marshall 169, Mount Zion 181 and Tuscola 210.

Altamont was led by Kevin Hall and Tyler Stonecipher with a 37 each. Those two garnered medalist honors. Also scoring were Avery Jahraus 39 and Zeke Rippetoe 51.

The Indians are now 8-1 on the season. Altamont is back in action at St. Elmo Golf Course today at 4 p.m. against Ramsey and Shelbyville.

In the girls match, Mount Zion won with 219 followed by Tuscola 221 and Marshall 269. Altamont had one girl participating, Madison Splechter with a 58.
