St. Anthony Finishes Second in 14-School Tournament at Paris

A good showing for the St. Anthony boys golf squad over the weekend. The Bulldogs finished second in the 14-team Paris Invitational.

St. Anthony finished with a 331 total, eight shots behind Mattoon.

Here are the team results: Mattoon 323, St. Anthony 331, Charleston 342, Paris 344, Oblong 345, Lawrenceville 362, Bismarck-Henning 372, Olney 388, Rantoul 395, Casey-Westfield 396, Oakwood 409, Tri-County 416, Salt Fork 441, Westville 443.

St. Anthony had remarkably consistent scores. Their four counters and their scores: Thomas Chojnicki 82, Lane Ludwig 83, Charlie Wegman 83, Jonathan Willenborg 83. Also playing for the Bulldogs: Michael Martelli 95, Aidan Tegeler 99.

Colton Romine of Mattoon was the medalist, firing a 76.
