Bulldogs Beat Salem, Altamont Third at Pana

SALEM -- Effingham St. Anthony High School edged Salem at the Salem Country Club in boys golf Tuesday, 211-215.

St. Anthony's Garrett Hixenbaugh and Salem's Nate Williams were co-medalists with a 38 each.

Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Jared Hutchison 42, Sam Wortman 43 and Connor Greene 44. Also competing were Jeff Niebrugge 44 and Nate Schmidt 50.

Scoring for the Wildcats were Williams, Will Fulkerson 39, Brendon Boles 43 and Connor Brooks 47. Non-counters were Max Philips 48 and Roudy Hensley 54.

In a junior varsity match at Foreway Golf Course, Mattoon claimed a 181-184 win over St. Anthony.

Hillsboro tallied 170 followed by Pana 193 and Altamont 206 in a triangular match at Oak Terrace Golf Course Tuesday.

B. Leible and J. Mutchler had a 41 each for Hillsboro. Also scoring were T. Perfetti 44 and A. Malloy 44.

Altamont was led by Adam Mayhaus with a 46. Also scoring were Logan Deadmond 50, Cameron Jackman 55 and Noah Kopplin 55.
