Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet has agreed to a four-year, $50 million extension of his contract, according to the NFL Network.

The deal puts him ninth on the top-10 list of best-paid players at his position.

 

Jets' Rodgers Taking A Pay Cut

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is taking a bit of a pay cut, but he’ll be fine.

His newly revised deal with the New York Jets will pay him $75 million over two years, and it’s fully guaranteed. 

The agreement with the Jets replaces a previous deal he signed with the Green Bay Packers that had nearly $110 million in guaranteed pay remaining on it.

 

Texans' Metchie Close To Making NFL Debut

Houston Texans wide receiver John Metchie III is close to making his NFL debut after missing his entire rookie season due to a diagnosis of leukemia.

Texans general manager Nick Caserio told reporters this week that Metchie has been cleared to participate in training camp “after a little bit of a setback there in the spring.”

Selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the four-star recruit was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia after the draft. He is expected to make a full recovery.
