NEWTON -- Newton High School pounded Marshall 52-12 in Friday night football.

The Eagles scored two touchdowns in the first period and led 31-0 at halftime. Two more touchdowns came in the third quarter and a final one in the fourth period.

Marshall scored a touchdown in the third quarter and one in the final quarter.

Offensively, Isaac Flowers gained 115 yards and scored three touchdowns while Riley Dankow gained 65 yards and scored a touchdown and Dominik Utley had 32 yards and a touchdown.

Max Meinhart connected on six passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Jack Kinkade and Flowers pulled in the passes for TDs.

Defensively, Braxton Griffith had five solo tackles, six assists and one sack while Austin Moore had six solo tackles
