Smith Suffers Neck Injury; Bears Lose To Vikings

Lion's safety Saivion Smith was taken away in an ambulance following a neck injury.

Smith went down after trying to stop Patriots tight end Hunter Henry near the line of scrimmage, but Henry broke free and gained 23 yards on the play.

Smith was taken to a local hospital to be further evaluated for the neck injury. The 3rd year NFL safety was making his first start as a Lion after being promoted from their practice squad.

 

Boy Tackled At Falcons/Bucs Game

A boy was tackled by a security guard during the Falcons/Buccaneers game on Sunday. The boy's mother told reporters he is10 years old, but a police officer later told reporters the boy was older than 10 but was not able to release further information due to him being a juvenile.

No charges were filed, and no arrests were made as of Sunday.

 

Coach Hartis In Stable Condition

Michigan running backs coach Mike Hartis in stable condition after suffering a medical emergency on the sideline during Saturday's Wolverine's game vs Indiana.

During the first quarter of Saturday's showdown, Hart suffered a seizure and ended up on the ground with 4:57 left in the quarter. Jim Harbaugh provided an update via Michigan's official twitter account.
