A young man whose last job was a part-time stint in a North Dakota pizza parlor has just been signed as an offensive tackle to the New England Patriots’ practice squad.

Sebastian Gutierrez was a 23-year-old free agent who played for Minot State. Losson Leonard, owner of Uncle Maddio’s Pizza, had only kind words to say about his former counter guy. “I think he’ll do well. I think once they let him in the door, he’ll never come out,” Leonard told North Dakota television station KFYR.

Brady Says He'll Be There Sunday

In spite of a recent shoulder injury, quarterback Tom Brady says he will be there on Sunday for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers match against the Atlanta Falcons. He appeared fine at Thursday’s practice session.

Protester Sues Rams' Bobby Wagner

Remember the protester who was tackled by Los Angeles Rams linebacker Bobby Wagner after running onto the field waving a pink smoke bomb during the second quarter? He’s suing Wagnerr assault.

Wagmer and teammate Takkarist McKinley grabbed the protester and held him until security took over. The animal rights protester went straight to the Santa Clara Police Department the next day to file a report about the “blatant assault” on him.

Asked about the matter, Wagner said he is more concerned about a security guard who was hurt during the incident.
