Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson began serving his 11-game suspension Tuesday. He will also pay a $5 million fine and undergo mandatory treatment and counseling, after 24 women accused him of sexual assault and harassment during massages.

He has maintained his innocence, despite agreeing to the settlement between the NFL and the players’ union after the NFL appealed his original six-game suspension.

Jon Gruen Addresses Email Controversy

Former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden on Tuesday publicly addressed the email controversy that cost him his job last October for the first time. The emails had racist, anti-gay and misogynistic language.

Speaking at the Little Rock Touchdown Club in Arkansas, he said, “I’m ashamed about what has come about in these emails, and I’ll make no excuses for it. It’s shameful. But, I am a good person. . . . I’ve made some mistakes. But I don’t think anybody in here hasn’t. And I just ask for forgiveness and, hopefully, I get another shot.”
