Rams Spending A Lot Of Money This Week

The Los Angeles Rams are spending a lot of money this week. The team is keeping Super Bowl champ Cooper Kupp for the next three years for another $75 million. That brings his five-season total pay to $110 million.

Kupp is an All-Pro, the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year, and a Super Bowl MVP.

Earlier this week, Aaron Donald accepted a $95 million three-year extension that makes him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

 

Texans Added asDefendants In Suit Against Watson

The Houston Texans will be added as defendants to a suit by 24 women who are accusing former quarterback DeShaun Watson of sexual misconduct, ‘ESPN’ reports.

The women accuse Watson of harassing or assaulting them during supposedly therapeutic massages. He has signed with the Cleveland Browns in a five-year, $230 million contract.

 

Walton Family Sign Agreement to Buy Broncos

The heirs to the Walmart family fortune have signed an agreement to buy the Denver Broncos for $4.65 billion, according to KUSA-TV in Denver. The price is by far the biggest ever for a sports team.

The new ownership group, called Walton-Penner, consists of Rob Walton, his daughter, Carrie Walton Penner and her husband Greg Penner.  Rob Walton is a son of the company founder, Sam Walton.
