Alabama football coach Nick Saban reportedly said Thursday that quarterback Bryce Young who hasn’t yet been named the team’s starter -- although he is the presumptive favorite -- already has nearly $1 million in endorsement deals.

Saban reportedly made the comment to the Texas High School Coaches Association’s convention.

Young, a sophomore who was the primary backup to Mac Jones last year, signed an agency deal on July 2, the day after the NCAA allowed athletes to profit off their name, image and likeness. Jones was taken in the draft’s first round by the New England Patriots.
