High School Football Officials Needed

The current shortage of football officials available for high school football games provides a great opportunity for you to be more than just a spectator.

Classes are open to ages 17-60 plus. both men and women. This is for those brand new to officiating and those with one to two years experience. The class is free, discounted IHSA officials license fee, no prerequisites  . . work when you're available, taught by licensed and certified football officials.

This class prepares you by covering game rules, play situations, penalty enforcement, timing and positioning through presentations and film review. After completion and having an IHSA license, you will have the opportunity to be assigned to officiate high school football games for the upcoming season.

The six week online course of training begins Tuesday, July 13 and runs through August 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. New mateial will be presented at each session. Classes will beheld online via ZOOM. You can participate using your computer, tablet or mobile device.
