Effingham Co. Storm Suffers First Loss

The Effingham County Storm suffered its first loss of the Mid-American Eight Man Football League Sunday.

The Sangamon County Outaws edged the Storm, 19-13. The Storm drops to 4-1 on the season.

The team plays its home games at the ball diamond at Neal Park in Toledo on Sundays at 2 p.m.

The games are open to the public, but please observe social distancing guidelines.

Members of the Storm include Kysean Green, Mike Smith, Jacob Harris, Tyler Pilcher, Josh Cazley, Deano Tull, Braxton Anderson, Orion Roberts, Donta Thompson, Payton Bushue, Tim Smith, Josh Layton, Earl Owens, Truston Winnett, Quinton Bogan, Zach  Miller, Tyler Veatch, Andrew Sanders, Michael Davidson, Nick Wilson, Tyler Agney, Wesley Motley, Thomas Grove, Erick Deloach, Smitty Smith, Jesse Bushue, Nathaniel Boggs, Joe Fernandez, Blaine Koester, Vincent Owens, Logan Smith and Geoffrey Hecht. The coach is Michael Davidson.

The Storm's schedule is as follows:

Sunday, July 19 -- Effingham County Storm at Muscatine Riverhawks, 2 p.m.

Sunday, July 26 -- Effingham County Storm at Peoria Punishers, 2 p.m.

Sunday, August 2 -- Clark County Chiefs at Effingham County Storm, 2 p.m.

Sunday, August 9 -- Bye
