Trump Tweets About Goodell's Video

President Trump tweeted Sunday night about Roger Goodell's’s video Friday in which the NFL commissioner said the league erred in how it handled the player protests against police brutality and racial inequality and pledged to do better as he encouraged players to “peacefully protest.” He tweeted: “Could it be even remotely possible that in Roger Goodell’s rather interesting statement of peace and reconciliation, he was intimating that it would now be O.K. for the players to kneel, or not to stand, for the National Anthem, thereby disrespecting our Country & our Flag?” In 2017, Trump urged owners to fire players who kneeled, calling them sons of b**tches.
