Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger left Sunday’s game late in the first half due to an elbow injury and didn’t return. The Steelers lost to the Seattle Seahawks and Roethlisberger is due to undergo an MRI.


Saints' Brees Injures Thumb

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees left Sunday’s NFC Championship game rematch with the Los Angeles Rams late in the first quarter with an injured thumb. Brees didn’t return to the game and will undergo an MRI.


Patiots Weren't Aware Of Brown's Allegations

The New England Patriots say they weren't aware of Antonio Brown’s sexual assault allegations and if they had been they wouldn’t have signed him. However, they let Brown play and he caught a touchdown pass in his first game with the team in their 43-0 win over Miami.


Saints Sign Coach Payton

The New Orleans Saints have signed coach Sean Payton to a five-year contract extension. Payton was hired in 2006 and is the second-longest tenured coach in the NFL behind Bill Belichick.


AP College Poll Unchanged

The top nine of the Associated Press college football poll is unchanged from last week. Once again, Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Oklahoma make up the top five.
