EHS Girls Push Record to 23-0 With Exciting Win Over Salem; Wooden Shoes Beat Putnam County

The Effingham Lady Hearts were tested Tuesday night, but they came through at crunch time.

Effingham pushed their undefeated record to 23-0 with a 59-50 win over the Salem Lady Wildcats at EHS Gym.

It was one-point game at halftime and the Lady Hearts led by four heading into the fourth quarter before putting a little daylight between them and Salem.

Teutopolis and Putnam County squared off in action at Parkland College. Teutopolis stepped out to a 10-7 lead on Putnam County then the defense kicked in as the Wooden Shoes held Putnam County to one point in the second period while taking a 22-8 halftime lead.

Repking and M. Hartke tallied 11 points each for the Shoes.
