Area Schools Listed On First Boys, Girls Basketball Polls

Several area schools received votes and are listed on the first boys and girls high school basketball polls.

Effingham St. Anthony boys and girls hit the polls. The boys team is listed fourth on the Class 1A poll with a 7-1 record and drew 61 points.

Altamont and Dieterich are both in the others receive votes. Altamont received seven and Dieterich one.

In the Class 2A boys poll, Teutopolis was in the others receiving votes with two.

In the Class 1A girls poll, St. Anthony is seventh with an 8-3 record and 24 points while Altamont is tied for ninth with an 8-2 record and 18 points.

Neoga is in the others receiving votes with seven.

Effingham is in the others receiving votes in Class 3A with 10.
