LOUISVILLE -- Effingham St. Anthony and North Clay (Louisville) split junior high girls basketball victores Tuesday.

St. Anthony was a winner in seventh-grade action, 31-23. The Bullpups held a 16-12 halftime lead then had a 13-5 third quarter surge.

Schultz scored 10 points to lead the Bullpups.

North Clay was led by Compton with 17 points.

In eighth-grade play, North Clay ran out to a 14-1 opening quarter lead and never looked back in a 43-10 win.

Zink scored 14 points while Price added 12. North Clay is 1-0 in the National Trail Conference, 2-0 overall.

St. Anthony was led by Niebrugge with five points.
