Effingham St. Anthony nabbed an eighth-grade girls basketball win over Richland County Wednesday.

The Bullpups were 33-14 winners. St. Anthony held a 13-8 halftime lead then held Richland County to six points in the second half while scoring 20.

Schultz tallied 11 for the winners while Frisbie added nine.

In the seventh-grade game, Richland County was a 21-11 winner. Richland County led 10-6 at halftime then had a 11-5 second half.

Budde led St. Anthony with four points.

At  Dieterich

Teutopolis came calling and picked up two wins over Dieterich Wednesday.

T-town ripped out to a 15-0 opening quarter lead and went on for a 35-12 win in seventh-grade play.

Tipton scored eight for the winners while Probst and S. Vahling tallied six each. The Shoes are now 17-2 on the season.

In eighth-grade play, T-town was a 39-27 winner. The Shoes led Dieterich by four points at halftime then had a 13-2 third quarter scoring spurt.

Borries and Gaddis tallied 11 points each for the Shoes. T-town now sports a 15-4 record.

Dieterich was led by Michl with eight points.
