Altamont claimed the seventh-grade contest while Teutopolis was a winner in eighth-grade girls junior high baskteball action Tuesday evening.

Altamont edged out to a 7-5 opening quarter lead but T-town came back to knot the score at halftime, 14-14. Altamont then had a 9-1 third quarter to move ahead 23-15. The

Wooden Shoes made another comeback bid in the final quarter with a 10-5 run but fell short, 28-25.

Kuenstler tallied 17 to lead the winners.

T-town was led by Probst and E. Vahling with six each. The Shoes drop to 16-2 on the season.

In the eighth-grade game, T-town was a 40-19 winner. The Shoes had a 13-2 opening quarter and finished off with a 15-6 final period to improve to 14-4.

Borries scored 12 while Pals added 10 for the Shoes.

Altamont was led by Pearcy with eight.

At Shelbyville

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City claimed both contests over Shelbyville Tuesday.

CHBC edged Shelbyville 32-28 in the seventh-grade game to improve to 8-11 on the season.

Shelbyville held a 9-8 opening quarter lead but CHBC came back with a 10-3 second period to move ahead 18-12. Shelbyville had an 11-5 third period to tie the score at 23-23 before CHBC had a 9-6 final period to pull out the victory.

Ethal Stuckemeyer scored 13 for the winners.

In eighth-grade action, the Bobcats won 48-6 and is now 10-9 on the season.

Lena Bowlin and Haley Doty scored 14 each for the winners while Gabriella Wakefield added 10.

CHBC ran out to a 22-0 opening quarter lead and that was the game.

At Louisville

North Clay (Louisville) downed Neoga in both seventh- and eighth-grade play Tuesday.

North Clay was a 36-16 winner in the seventh-grade contest.

In eighth-grade action, North Clay won 37-31.

Neoga claimed the fifth-sixth grade contest, 26-17.
