Effingham St. Anthony split victories with Charleston.

The Bullpups won the seventh-grade contest, 50-15 stepping out to a 24-6 halftime lead and outscoring Charleston 20-3 in the third period.

Conner Storm tallied 20 for the winners.

Charleston was a winner in eighth-grade play, 48-35. No other information was provided.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis claimed two victories over Altamont Lutheran.

T-town won the seventh-grade matchup, 36-29 with a 20-13 opening half lead.

Two players scored in double figures for the Shoes, Jake Probst with 12 and Keegan Swingler with 10.

Altamont Lutheran was led by McManaway with 12.

In eighth-grade play, T-town stepped out to a 15-3 opening quarter lead and went on for a 50-24 victory.

Carson Cornell tallied 11 points to lead 11 players in scoring.

Altamont Lutheran was led by Miller with seven.

Stewardson-Strasburg won over North Clay (Louisville) in both seventh- and eighth-grade play Friday.

Stew-Stras stepped out to an 18-9 halftime lead and held off North Clay in the second half for a 37-24 victory.

Two players hit double digits for the winners. Riley Bible tallied 12 points while Eli Jones added 10. The team is now 1-1.

North Clay was led by Lewis and Ballard with six each.

In the eighth-grade contest, Stew-Stras held a 10-3 opening quarter lead and went on for a 34-21 win.

 Bible scored 12 once again to lead the winners who are now 1-1.

North Clay was led by Griffy with 14.

At Strasburg

SATURDAY, NOV. 6 GAMES

Teutopolis defeated Effingham in seventh- and eighth-grade play.

The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade B contest, 41-30. T-town led 23-12 at halftime.

Tucker Dhom scored 13 points for the winners. Effingham was led by Kinkelaar with 10.

In the eighth-grade B contest, T-town was a 33-18 winner. T-town led 19-14 going into the final quarter then had a 14-4 run.

Hayden Tebbe led the Shoes with 13 while Effingham was led by Moon and Braddy with four each.

T-town then split victories with Triad. T-town won the seventh-grade contest, 47-21 with a 24-14 first half run.

Jake Probst scored 14 for the winners.

In the eighth-grade game, T-town fell to Triad 35-34. T-town led 22-17 at halftime but Triad came back with an 18-12 second half.

T-town was led by Kendal Mette with 13.

At Strasburg

Effingham St. Anthony picked up victories in the Stewardson-Strasburg Seventh-Grade Shootout.

St. Anthony won the first contest, 57-15 over St. Elmo/Brownstown. The Bullpups took a 20-12 halftime lead then had a 30-3 second half.

Conner Storm tallied 16 and Cooper Sehy 10 for the Bulldogs. SEB was led by Gillespie with eight.

In the second contest, St. Anthony won over host Stew-Stras 57-33. The Bullpups ripped out to a 23-6 opening quarter lead.

Three players finished in double figures. Connor Storm led the way with 16 points while Kade Pennington added 12 and Cooper Sehy 10.

Stew-Stras was led by Eli Jones with 13.

At Strasburg

At Flora

South Central split victories in the Flora Seventh-Grade Tournament Saturday.

South Central won the first contest over Fairfield easily, 45-6.

South Central took a 30-6 halftime lead and Fairfield did not score in the second half.

Three players hit double figures for the winners. C. Cartright and E. Hiestand led with 11 each while A. Hoover added 10.

In the second game, South Central fell 23-19 to Lawrenceville to finish third.

Lawrenceville led 10-6 at halftime but South Central pulled within 16-15 going into the final quarter. Lawrenceville then had a 7-4 final quarter run to pull out the win.

South Central was led by Colton Cartright with 11 points.

At Newton

Jasper County claimed victories over visiting Marshall.

The winners took a 15-0 lead over Marshall in the seventh-grade game and went on for a 34-19 victory.

Maddox Horner tallied nine to lead Jasper County, which improved to 3-0.

In the eighth-grade game, Jasper County ran off to a 16-1 opening quarter lead and won 57-9.

Henry Will scored 15 while Hayden Mulvey added 13 for the winners.

At Newton
