Sigel St. Michael, Altamont and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg advanced in the National Trail Conference Seventh-Grade Girls Basketball Tournament Wednesday.

St. Michael  won the opening game of the evening by downing Dieterich, 39-14.

The Sharpshooters zipped out to a 20-0 opening quarter lead and put the game away.

Kaelyn Ordner led the way with 11 points while Brooklyn Will added eight.

Dieterich was led by Boerngen with six points.

In the second game, Altamont was a winner over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City by a 24-13 count.

Altamont held an 8-3 opening quarter lead and led 14-10 at halftime. Altamont then had a 10-3 second half.

Reagan Kuenstler led the winners with 10 points.

CHBC was led by Ethel Stuckemeyer with six points.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg finished out the evening with a 33-13 win over Brownstown/St. Elmo.

WSS held BSE scoreless while taking a 12-0 opening quarter lead and leading 14-0 at halftime.

Edie Wittenberg led the way for the winners with 13 points while Jackie Vonderheide added eight.

BSE was led by Addison Koonce with 11 points.

The tournament continues tonight as Sigel St. Michael meets North Clay at 6 p.m. followed by Altamont taking on Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg in winner bracket action at 7:15.

Friday's games will be in the consolation bracket as Dieterich faces South Central at 6 and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City meets Brownstown/St. Elmo at 7:15

The finals are scheduled for Saturday with the consolation championship at 9 a.m. followed by the third place game at 10:15 and the championship at 11:30..
