Shot Clock Allowed At H.S. Tourneys, Shootouts

For the first time this winter, boys and girls basketball could use a shot clock in tournaments and shootouts.

Earlier this year, the Illinois High School Association unanimously approved a 35-second shot clock only for particular games if the site hosts choose to use it.

Depending on the board's feedback from the shootout and tournaments, the IHSA could expand the shot clock into regular season games.
