Littleford Named To All-Newcomer Team

Shae Littleford, who competed for Charleston High School, now attends University of Tennessee at Martin College and plays basketball.

She was named to the Ohio Valley Conference All-Newcomer Team. Other members of the team include Gabby Nikitinaite (SIUE), Gia Adams (Tennessee State), Jada Claude (Morehead State) and Anna Walker (Tennessee Tech).

Shae is the daughter of Jim and Karen (Goeckner) Littleford of Charleston. She has many relatives in the Effingham area, particularly in the Altamont community. Her father is also a former Athletic Director for Effingham Unit 40 and former Altamont and Charleston school superintendent, while her mother teaches in the Effingham Unit 40 school district.

Lariah Washington of Eastern Illinois University was named to the all-OVC First Team.
