The Washington Wizards announced Tuesday that guard Bradley Beal will have surgery to repair a torn ligament in his wrist and will miss the rest of the season.

Beal, who’s the Wizards’ biggest star, was injured in the third quarter of Washington’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies on January 29. He’d averaged 23.2 points in 40 games this season.
