TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis captured two victories over Sigel St. Michael in junior high boys basketball action Friday.

In the seventh-grade game, T-town was a 26-15 winner. T-town held a 19-7 halftime lead. Jake Kocher tallied 10 points for the Shoes.

St. Michael was led by Mayer with nine.

In eighth-grade action, T-town ran off to a 14-2 opening quarter lead and never looked back in a 46-17 win.

Jason Kreke scored 11 while Landyn Thoele added nine for the Shoes.

The Sharpshooters were led by Worman with 11.

In Saturday play, T-town defeated North Clay in the seventh-grade game, 48-47. Carter Kinkelaar and Jake Kocher scored eight each for the Shoes.

In the eighth-grade contest, T-town was a 52-29 winner stepping out to a 17-7 opeing quarter lead. Gavin Addis tallied 19 and Jason Kreke 17.

North Clay was led by Groves with nine.

Effingham then defeated North Clay in seventh-grade action, 44-14. Braddy scored 20 and Nohren 10 for the winners. North Clay was led by Wolfe with nine.

In the eighth-grade contest, Effingham claimed a 40-26 victory. The Mustangs held a 32-24 lead going into the final period.

Phillips scored 17 and Meltabager 12 for the Mustangs. North Clay was led by Compton with 10.

In eighth-grade B action, Effingham was a 33-24 winner over Teutopolis with a 21-12 opening half.

Gordon scored seven to lead the Mustangs. T-town was led by Andy Lustig with 10.

In the seventh-grade B game, T-town claimed a 44-10 win with a 15-2 second period and a 14-0 third quarter.

Hayden Tebbe led T-town with 14 while Carson Cornell added 10. Effingham was led by Moon with six.
