Paris Edges Teutopolis In Girls Basketball

PARIS -- Paris High School edged Teutopolis, 51-49 in girls basketball Monday evening.

The Tigers took a 10-8 opening quarter lead and led 30-24 at halftime. T-town came back with a 17-15 third quarter to pull within 45-41 and outscored the Tigers 8-6 in the final period only to fall two points short.

The Wooden Shoes had three players finish in double figures. Kaylee Niebrugge led the way with 14 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Niebrugge connected on six field goals and was two of three at the line. Isabella Hardiek added 12 points, hitting four baskets, two from three-point range, and was two of two at the ilne and Kaitlyn Schumacher scored 10 points. Hardiek had nine rebounds and a steal. Emily Konkel had a steal and an assist and Grace Tegeler had one assist.

The Tigers improved to 11-1 on the season.
