Altamont and South Central split junior high boys basketball victories Friday.

In the seventh-grade matchup, South Central was a 41-18 winner. South Central held a 23-2 halftime lead and never looked back.

The winners were led by Luke Shumate and Sebastian Kruger with 10 points each. Altamont was led by Buchanan with six.

In the eighth-grade game, Altamont edged South Central, 32-30.

South Central held a 10-4 opening quarter lead and led 22-19 at halftime. Altamont came back with a 7-2 third period to moved ahead 22-16 and then had a 10-4 final period.

Veteto tallied 14 for the winners while Reardon added eight.

South Central was led by Hudson Moore with seven and Trevan Sidwell with six.

At Kinmundy

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis hosted Pana St. Patrick, Tolono Unity and Centralia in seventh and eighth-grade action.

In seventh-grade play, T-town won over Pana St. Pat, 31-23. T-town had a 15-6 first half lead.

Jake Kocher led the Shoes with 13 points.

In the second game, T-town fell in an eighth-grade contest to Tolono Unity, 34-14. Tolono Unity moved ahead 12-10 at hafltime then had an 11-1 third period.

T-town was led by Jason Kreke with five points.

The third game went to Centralia over Pana St. Pat in seventh-grade play, 34-27.

The fourth game was claimed by Tolono Unity over Centralia, 40-20 in eighth-grade action.

Game five went to T-town over Centralia, 29-24 in seventh-grade play.

Centralia held an 11-8 halftime lead. T-town came back with a 21-13 second half.

Kocher tallied 15 for the winners.

The final game, an eighth-grade contest, went to T-town over Centralia, 40-27. T-town held a 28-23 halftime lead then had a 13-2 third period run.

The Shoes were led by Landyn Thoele with 15 and Jason Kreke with 11.
