Stewardson-Strasburg picked up two wins over Altamont in junior high boys basketball competition Tuesday.

Stew-Stras won the seventh-grade contest, 38-22 by taking a 20-5 first half lead.

Bible scored 12 for the winners while W. Vonderheide and Spour added eight each. Stew-Stras improves to 6-2 in the National Trail Conference, 12-4 overall.

Altamont was led by Bannister with seven and Buchanan with six.

In eighth-grade action, Stew-Sras was a 40-14 winner. With a 16-10 halftime lead, Stew-Stras had a 24-4 second half run.

Sayers scored 18 while Beals added eight. Stew-Stras improves to 6-2 in the conference, 8-5 overall.

Altamont weas led by Reardon, Bauer and Veteto with four points each.
