Neoga, WSS Fall In Girls Basketball Action

NEOGA -- Tri-County edged out to a 15-10 opening quarter lead and led 32-22 at halftime in girls high school basketball Tuesday evening.

Neoga mounted a comeback with a 20-18 run in the second half but it was too little as Tri-County claimed a 50-42 non-conference win.

Sydney Richards led Neoga with 17 points while Allison Worman added 12. Richards pulled down 11 rebounds, had five blocked shots and five steals. Worman had seven rebounds.

Neoga drops to 7-2 on the season and will play host to Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville Thursday.

Neoga claimed the junior varsity win, 39-19.

Arcola picked up a non-conference victory over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg Tuesday.

The Purple Riders won by a 41-14 count.
