Junior High Boys Basketball -- Feb. 22

ALIS held a 29-16 halftime lead then held off Stew-Stras 17-16 in the second half for a 46-32 seventh-grade victory.

ALIS was led by Milleville with 22 points.

Stew-Stras was led by Sayers with 10. Stew-Stras dropped to 5-4 on the season.

In the eighth-grade game, ALIS had an exact 28 first half and 28 second half for a 54-43 win.

Three players hit double figures for ALIS. Schultz led with 20 followed by Milleville 18 and Roedl 10.

Gurgel led Stew-Stras with 24. Stew-Strasi s now 5-4 on the season.

At Olney

Teutopolis split victories with Olney in action Monday evening.

T-town claimed the seventh-grade game, 48-20. The Wooden Shoes held Olney scoreless in the first quarter for a 17-0 lead then led 35-5 at halftime.

Gavin Buening led the Shoes with 12 points while Isaac McWhorter added 11 and Jason Kreke chipped in with 10.

In the eighth-grade game, Olney was a 35-27 winner. Olney took a 23-15 halftime lead before the two teams played to a 12-12 second half.

Luke Niemerg led the Shoes with eight points.
