Allyson Hardiek Scores 12 Points In Pomeroys' Loss

SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) women's basketball team (0-3) fell to the Grenadiers of Indiana University-Southeast (3-1) Tuesday, 69-39.

The Pomeroys' offensive struggles continue to remain present after their first two contests of the season against NAIA foe. Despite the close first quarter battle, IU-Southeast pulled away after they found a rhythm offensively and SMWC was unable to answer.

The Woods leading scorer was Maggie Reimer who finished with a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Altamont High School graduate Allyson Hardiek finished with 12 points, nine rebounds, and six blocks.

Hardiek, the daughter of Heather and Pat Hardiek, is a 6-foot-2 freshman. She has played in three games, averaging seven points, hitting 58.8 percent from the field and 20 percent from the free throw line. She has averaged 5.3 rebounds.

Maggie Reimer notched the double-double on the night; her first of the season.

Allyson Hardiek nearly cleared a triple-double but was just short in a few stat categories.

Maggie Reimer's 13 rebounds paced all players on the night while also leading the team with 2 assists and 2 steals.

SMWC shot 27.1% from the field and turned the ball over 24x.

At the free-throw line, SMWC shot 50% (6/12).

The Pomeroys fall to 0-3 on the season.

Indiana University-Southeast

Lauren Lambdin cleared 16 points to lead all scorers on the night, she added five rebounds and three assists.

The Grenadiers shot 41.3% from the field and 71.4% from the free-throw line.

IU-Southeast finished the contest with 12 turnovers.

The Grenadiers improve to 3-1 on the season.

SMWC will head to Ohio Christian University on Saturday, November 14. Tip-off is set for noon
