The New York Knicks have stolen Kenny Payne away from the Kentucky Wildcats for Tom Thibodeau's coaching staff, ‘The New York Post’ reports. Payne has been John Calipari's right-hand man for a decade.

 

NBA Will Name MVP

The NBA is sticking with tradition by naming an MVP even while it’s stuck inside a bubble. The league announced it will honor a Player of the Seeding Games. That’s basically an MVP for the eight games played at Walt Disney World.

An All-Seeding Games Team also will be named. The winners will be selected by a panel of sports reporters and broadcasters who are on site in Florida. The final seeding games will be played on Friday, with playoffs scheduled to start Monday.

 

President Trump Calls NBA Players Nasty, Dumb

President Donald Trump called pro basketball players “very nasty” and “very dumb” for kneeling during the national anthem to protest social injustice. In a Fox Sports radio interview Tuesday, he said the continuing protest “has been horrible for basketball.” All but two players knelt during the anthem for the NBA’s restarted season in Orlando.
