Junior High Boys Basketball--January 30

Teutopolis claimed the championship of its own Class 7-3A Boys Basketball Regional.

It'll be Altamont Lutheran vs. St. Peter Lutheran for the championship of the SIJHSAA Class S Regional.

Altamont Lutheran defeated Iuka 47-12 Thursday, while St. Peter Lutheran got by Patoka 39-32.

ALIS will take on St. Peter tonight at St. Peter Lutheran School. Game time is 6pm.

7th grade boys basketball regional championships in this area have all been decided.

On Thursday, Sigel St. Michael captured their own Class 7-1A Regional, downing Stewardson-Strasburg 37-12.

In 7-3A regional action at Teutopolis, the host Wooden Shoes won their own regional title, defeating Lawrenceville Parkview 45-23.

Meanwhile, Casey-Westfield won their own 3A regional, downing Dieterich Thursday, 53-23.

Mt. Zion won their own 4A regional, defeating Stephen Decatur 54-33.

Earlier this week, St. Anthony won its own 2A regional, defeating North Clay 54-27.

It was good to be the host this season.

Sigel St. Michael advances to the Pana Sacred Heart 1A Sectional, St. Anthony and Casey-Westfield move on to the St. Elmo 2A Sectional, and Teutopolis moves on to the Cumberland 3A Sectional. Each of the sectional games will be played at 6:30pm on Wednesday, February 5.
