Effingham Junior High School played host to Salem Franklin Park and split victories in boys basketball Tuesday.

The Mustangs won the seventh-grade contest, 38-22 with a 15-2 opening quarter surge. Effingham led 27-6 at halftime.

Pals tallied 13 for the winners while Belcher added 11. The Mustangs improved to 2-5.

In eighth-grade play, Franklin Park was a 43-34 winner. Franklin Park took a 24-13 halftime lead.

Raddatz tallied 10 points for the Mustangs.

At Marshall

Teutopolis tallied 49 points in each game in downing Marshall in action Tuesday evening.

The Wooden Shoes stepped out to a 10-5 opening quarter lead and held Marshall scoreless in the second period for a 38-5 lead at halftime. The Shoes went on for a 49-7 win.

Luke Niemerg tallied 12 points for the winners.

In the eighth-grade game, T-town also ran off to a big halftime lead, 28-6 and never looked back in a 49-22 win.

Joey Niebrugge scored 15 points for the Shoes.

Robinson Nuttall came calling and downed Jasper County in both games Tuesday.

Nuttall won the seventh-grade contest, 46-30. Nuttall took a 10-2 opening quarter lead and led 25-7 at halftime.

Lain Burgener led Jasper County with 12 points. Jasper County is now 2-6 on the season.

In the eighth-grade contest, Robinson Nuttall picked up a 37-18 win.

Jasper County was led by Flowers with eight points as the squad dropped to 4-4.

At Newton

At Windsor

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City claimed two victories over Windsor in action Tuesday evening.

CHBC picked up its sixth straight win by downing Windsor, 40-17 in seventh-grade play.

CHB was led by Kaidyn Calame with 11 and Ernie Villar with nine. Windsor was led by E. Robinson with 13.

In the eighth-grade contest, CHBC was a 37-26 winner. CHBC led 17-12 at halftime. Carson Evans tallied 18 while Clayton Wojcik scored 15. CHBC has won five of its last six games.

Windsor was led by Broz with 15.

At Louisville

North Clay (Louisville) played host to Neoga and claimed two victories Tuesday.

North Clay was a winner in seventh-grade play, 48-17. North Clay stepped out to a 15-0 opening quarter lead and the contest was put in the win column.

North Clay was led by L. Groves with 19 points and Poe with nine. Neoga was led by Keller with five.

In eighth-grade action, North Clay dominated in a 46-7 victory.

North Clay had two players in double figures, Weidner with 14 and Casolari with 13. Neoga was led by Bullock with three.
