Frosh/Soph Boys Basketball -- Dec. 2

Effingham St. Anthony handed Marshall losses in freshman/sophomore boys basketball action Monday evening.

In the freshman contest, the Bulldogs took a 12-7 opening quarter lead and pushed that to 27-17 at halftime. St. Anthony finished out with a 62-29 victory.

Three players hit double figures for St. Anthony. Max Sager led the way with 15 while Will Hoene added 14 and Eli Levitt 10.

In the sophomore contest, St. Anthony picked up a 56-47 win. The Bulldogs took a 30-23 halftime lead. Kyle Stewart tallied 21 for the winners while Colton Fearday added 13 and Brody Niebrugge 12.

At Louisville

North Clay (Louisville) picked up two victories over Flora in freshman/sophomore boys action Monday.

In the first contest, North Clay was a 27-17 winner. The score was tied at 6-6 after the opening quarter and the Wolves led 9-8 at halftime. North Clay came back with a 12-3 third period run.

Logan Fleener tallied 14 for the winners.

In the second contest, North Clay claimed a 32-8 win. After leading by five after the opening quarter, North Clay then had a 10-1 second period run and never looked back.

Griffy and Dawkins scored eight points each for the winners.
