Teutopolis captured two victories over Effingham in girls freshman/sophomore basketball competition.

The Wooden Shoes won the freshman game, 49-24. The Wooden Shoes held a 27-14 halftime lead.

Niebrugge scored 15 to lead the Shoes while Kremer added 10. EHS was led by Lily Wise, Riley Cunningham, Paige Sherrod and Emma Thompson with four each.

In the sophomore contest, T-town pulled out a 39-35 victory. The Shoes led 22-20 at halftime and just 31-30 going into the final period then outscored the Hearts 8-5 for the win.

T-town was led by Niebrugge with 12 and Kremer with 10.

Effingham was led by Mapes with 12.
