SEB Hands Sandoval Boys Basketball Loss

BROWNSTOWN -- St. Elmo/Brownstown High School stepped out to the early lead and never looked back in downing Sandoval 72-36 in boys basketball action Thursday.

SEB took a 21-13 opening quarter lead and led 40-17 at halftime.

Three players scored in double figures for the Eagles. Andy Goldsborough led the way with 20 points while Bryton Pruett chipped in with 16 and Jace McWhorter added 12.

Goldsborough also led in rebounds with eight, had two assists and three steals. Pruett led in steals with five and had three assists. Nate Philpot added three assists and four steals. Jacob Baron had two blocked shots.

BSE shot 46 percent from the field and 66 percent at the free throw line. The Eagles had 10 three-pointers as Goldsborough, Pruett, McWhorter, Philpot and Jaxson Tish hit two each.
