Teutopolis claimed seventh and eighth-grade B victories against Effingham St. Anthony Saturday.

T-town won the seventh-grade game, 52-27, taking a 26-13 halftime lead. Tabbert scored 15 while Davidson added nine for the Shoes. St. Anthony was led by Roepke with nine.

In eighth-grade play, T-town won 31-18. Again the Shoes took the big lead, 17-6 at halftime. Bloemer scored 17. Martelli led the Bullpups with 11.

T-town then split with East St. Louis Clark.

T-town won the seventh-grade encounter 43-16. T-town had a 15-7 second quarter and a 12-4 third period.

Niebrugge scored 12 while Hanson added 10 for the Shoes.

In eighth-grade play, East St. Louis picked up a 38-25 victory. ESL had a 19-10 halftime lead and had a 19-15 second half.

T-town was led by B. Niebrugge with 11 points.

St. Anthony fell to East St. Louis Clark in eighth-grade play, 39-6. ESL took a 16-4 halftime lead and that was the game.

St. Anthony was led by J. Willenborg with three points.

At Sacred Heart

St. Elmo/Brownstown picked up two junior high boys basketball victories over Effingham Sacred Heart Friday.

SEB won the seventh-grade contest, 32-15. SEB held a 13-8 halftime lead then had a 9-0 third quarter run.

J. Maxey tallied nine for the winners while Schaub added seven.

Sacred Heart was led by Noah Biggs with eight.

In eighth-grade action, Campbell finished with 24 and Behl with 17 as St. Elmo/Brownstown claimed a 55-34 victory.

SEB took a 25-12 halftime lead. Sacred Heart was led by J. McDevitt with 10.

Jasper County fell to Casey-Westfield in both seventh and eighth-grade play.

Paris Mayo edged Jasper County, 41-40. Paris Mayo took a 28-17 halftime lead. Jasper County came back with a 23-13 second half run only to fall short.

Jasper County (8-8) was led by Nichols with 15, Wolf with 12 and Flowers with 10.

In eighth-grade action, Casey-Westfield claimed a 45-19 victory. Casey-Westfield held a 23-13 halftime lead then had a 10-2 third quarter.

Jasper County (4-13) was led by Shamhart with seven.
