Teutopolis Junior High captured two victories over Mattoon in boys basketball action Monday evening.

The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade contest 44-26. T-town held a 17-7 halftime lead and had a 12-4 final period.

Niemerg and Ca. Siemer tallied 11 points each while B. Niebrugge chipped in with 10.

In eighth-grade play, T-town won 50-32. Once again the Shoes took an early lead, going out to 29-12 at halftime.

S. Bushur was the big gun with 24 points while K. Bannick chipped in with 13.

At Altamont

Altamont split victories with Shelbyville Moulton in action Monday.

Altamont claimed the seventh-grade contest 34-16. Altamont held a 14-5 halftime lead after holding Moulton scoreless in the second quarter.

Kollmann went on a tear in the third period with eight points and finished out leading Altamont with 18. Eirhart chipped in with eight.

In the eighth-grade contest, Shelbyville Moulton tallied a 42-19 win over Altamont.

Moulton held a 21-7 first half lead.

Altamont was led by Suckow with seven points.

At Cowden

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City downed North Clay (Louisville) in the seventh-grade contest Monday evening, 39-18.

CHBC led 19-9 at halftime and had a 12-3 third period.

Waylan Watson led CHBC with 10 points while Trevor Thies added eight.

In the eighth-grade game, North Clay won over CHBC, 56-48.

North Clay trailed CHBC 15-9 in the opening quarter and 28-22 at halftime. North Clay then had a 13-7 third period to tie the game at 35-35 going into the final period. North Clay then put together a 21-13 final period to pull out the win.

In that final quarter, Clifton went on a three-point binge, knocking in three and hit two free throws for 11 points. He finished with 13 to lead North Clay while Weidner added 11.

CHC was led by Robertson with 18.
