Three games were contested in the National Trail Conference Seventh-Grade Girls Basketball Tournament Thursday.
Altamont pounded Dieterich in the opener 35-4. Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick then downed Effingham Sacred Heart 35-21. In the final game of the night, Brownstown/St. Elmo won over Neoga 38-22 in consolation bracket play.
BCCH held an 18-10 halftime lead then had a 9-3 third quarter run on Sacred Heart. Madison Cherry led the winners with 10 points. Karolewicz led the Shamrocks with six points.
Tonigiht's games feature Dieterich against Sacred Heart at 5:30 in consolation play, Sigel St. Michael taking on Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 6:45 and Altamont meeting BCCH at 8, both in winner bracket action.
The tournament ends Saturday with the consolation championship at 9 a.m., the third place game at 10:15 and the championship at 11:30.

Jasper County picked up two regular season victories Thursday evening.
In the seventh-grade contest, Jasper County beat Palestine-Hutsonville 28-14. Jacey Parr tallied 14 points for the winners.
In eighth-grade action, Jasper County held a 28-10 halftime lead and finished with a 42-23 win. Josie Grunloh scored 13 for the winners.
