WOODLAWN -- Effingham St. Anthony's bats were on target while two pitchers combined on a four-hitter in beating Woodlawn 11-1 in high school baseball Wednesday.

Connor Roepke almost went the cycle with a single, double and a home run. He finished with three RBI. Max Koenig had a single and double while Aiden Lauritzen added a double and an RBI. Will Fearday knocked out two singles and had two RBI and Beau Adams had two singles.

Joseph Tegeler and Alex Mayer split duties on the mound. Tegeler went the first three innings, giving up one run on two hits, one walk and striking out five. He picked up the win. Mayer came on to throw the final three innings, allowing two hits, one walk and striking out one.

Woodlawn was led by Bundy with a solo home run.

St. Anthony will return to action Friday hosting Teutopolis with a 4:30 p.m. start.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis High School moved its record to 13-3 on the season with a 10-3 victory over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg Wednesday.

Zac Niebrugge guided the Shoes offensively, finishing with three doubles and two RBI on the day. Conner Hoelscher added two singles and drove in three runs while Austin Borries had a double and two RBI. Mick Niebrugge and Mitch Koester chipped in with a double each. Niebrugge added an RBI.

The Shoes edged out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning and led 4-1 after four. T-town finished out with six runs in the fifth.

Borries went 5.1 innings, allowing two runs on three hits. He struck out eight and did not give up a walk.

The Hatchets were led by Blayzz Verdeyen with a double and an RBI. WSS dropped to 7-7 on the season. WSS is back in action at North Clay Friday.

T-town wil be back in competition today hosting Altamont, weather permitting.
