TUESDAY BASEBALL FROM THE AREA:

BENTON 5, TEUTOPOLIS 4

Teutopolis took a 1-0 first inning lead. Benton scored twice in the second inning to take the lead, but the Wooden Shoes tied the game with a run in the bottom of the inning. Benton scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and seventh innings to move ahead 5-2. The Shoes scored twice in the seventh, but fell a run short. For Teutopolis: Logan Roepke singled three times, scored twice and drove in a run; Bennet Thompson walked twice and scored a run; Evan Waldhoff singled twice, walked and drove in a run; Brett Kreke singled; Caleb Siemer singled twice and drove in two runs; Connor Siemer singled twice and scored a run. On the mound, Tyler Pruemer pitched five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits while walking three and fanning five. Caleb Siemer pitched two innings, allowing one run on two hits and a walk while striking out four. Teutopolis is now 12-14 on the spring, Benton is 13-12-1

ALTAMONT 7, BROWNSTOWN/ST. ELMO 0

Ethan Robbins pitched a masterpiece for the Indians, a one-hit shutout, walking just two and striking out 12; Adam Atwood took the loss for the Bombers, allowing five runs but no earned runs, giving up four hits and a walk while striking out five; Cade Schaub went 2-2/3 innings, allowing two runs on one hit and two walks while fanning one batter; Calin Chandler got the last out; For Altamont: Mason Robinson singled and walked and scored twice; Carter Siebert scored a run; Nathan Stuemke homered and doubled, scored twice and drove in two runs; Kaidyn Miller drove in two runs; Wyatt Phillips singled and scored; Dillan Elam singled and walked and scored twice; Logan Cornett drove in two runs; and Nathan Shepard drove in a run; Adam Atwood had the lone hit for BSE; Altamont scored twice in the second, third and fifth innings and added a run in the fourth; BSE is now 12-10 on the spring

CHBC 3, MULBERRY GROVE 2

Mulberry Grove led 2-0 until CHBC scored in the third and tied the game in the fifth, then scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to claim the win; AJ Radloff got the win for the Bobcats; For CHBC: Clayton Wojcik drove in a run; AJ Radloff doubled and singled; Wyatt Rueff singled and drove in a run; Jacob Doty drove in a run; Gage Lorton singled; Layne Jones singled twice; and Blake Mueller singled; CHBC is now 9-11 on the season

DIETERICH 3, O-H-P 0

The Movin Maroons scored in the first, third and fifth innings to claim the victory; Lucas Westendorf pitched a four-hit shutout for the win, striking out seven and issuing no walks; For Dieterich: Lucas Westendorf doubled; Pete Britton walked and scored; Garrett Niebrugge singled and walked and scored twice; Noah Dill singled and walked; Sam Hardiek singled and drove in a run; Andrew Hall singled and drove in a run; Dane Curry walked
