Effingham St. Anthony edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead and went on to beat Neoga, 12-2 in six innings of high school baseball Thursday.

The Bulldogs had 11 hits and were aided by six Neoga errors. Brock Fearday had a double and drove in three runs while Nick Ruholl had three singles and an RBI and Beau Adams two singles and an RBI. Eli Levitt chipped in with a single and three RBI.

Ruholl went six innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, no walks and striking out six.

Neoga was led by Kaden Will with a double and an RBI and Malachi Staszak with two singles.

At St. Anthony

Altamont's  Jared Hammer threw a no-hitter as the Indians blanked Mulberry Grove, 10-0 in six innings Thursday.

Hammer  went the distance allowing no runs, no hits, one walk while striking out 12. His catcher was Mason Robinson who threw a no-hitter last week.

Meanwhile the Indians had six hits led by Dillan Elam with a triple and three RBI, Robinson with a triple, Ethan Robbins with a double and an RBI and Hammer with a single and two RBI.

Mulberry Grove committed three errors and gave up four walks.

At Altamont

Dieterich trailed Cisne 7-5 in the top of the fourth inning but came back with three in the bottom of the frame to move ahead and never looked back in a 15-8 victory Thursday.

The Movin' Maroons had nine hits led by Noah Dill with two singles and four RBI, Pete Britton with two singles and three RBI, Garrett Niebrugge with two singles and Andrew Hall with a single and two RBI.

Niebrugge was the winning pitcher going 3.1 innings allowing one run on two hits, one walk and striking out four.

At Dieterich

South Central banged out 13 hits and claimed an 11-2 victory over Odin Thursday.

The Cougars had five extra base hits. Anthony Buonaura had a double, triple and drove in five runs while Ethan Watwood had two doubles and two RBI. Brody Markley had two singles, a double and an RBI while Chase Thompson had two singles and C. Smith a single and two RBI.

Smith was the winning pitcher going 3.1 innings allowing one run on one hit, two walks and six strikeouts.

At Kinmundy

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and never looked back in a 13-0 win over Ramsey in five innings Thursday.

AJ Radloff had two singles, a double and an RBI for the winners while Conner Nowitzke had a solo home run. Wyatt Rueff had a double and two RBI and Drake Davis a double. Carson Evans had two singles and ended up the winner on the mound. Blake Mueller added a single and two RBI.

BSE held a 1-0 lead until the bottom of the seventh when CORL tied the score and then won the game in the ninth.

Brownstown/St. Elmo had six hits led by Cade Schaub and Lane Stine with two singles each.
