St. A, T-town, Altamont Nab Baseball Wins

DIETERICH -- With 11 hits, Effingham St. Anthony ended its 14-1 win over Dieterich in six innings of baseball action Monday.

The Bulldogs stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead then tallied a single run in the fourth, two in the fifth and ended the game with an eight-run sixth.

Eli Levitt tallied three singles and drove in a run while Will Hoene had two singles and an RBI, Angelo Mendella a double and two RBI. Brady Hatton and Brody Niebrugge added a single and two RBI each while Brock Jansen and Connor Roepke had a single and an RBI each.

Dieterich was led by Garrett Niebrugge with two singles.

 B. Fearday went five innings for the win on the mound. He threw a three-hitter, not allowing a walk and striking out four.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis played host to South Central and tallied a 5-1 victory Monday.

The Wooden Shoes broke a 1-1 opening inning tie with a four-run fourth.

Cade Buehnerkemper had three singles and an RBI for the Shoes while Kayden Althoff had an RBI.

Caleb Siemer threw the six-hitter with two walks and nine strikeouts.

South Central was led by Anthony Buonaura with two singles and Beau Jolliff with a single and an RBI.

Both teams are 11-6 on the season. T-town is back in action today at Newton.

At Altamont

Mason Robinson was the big hitter on the day as Altamont bounced Nokomis to the tune of 22-6 in four innings Monday.

Robinson had four hits that included three singles, a double and drove in five runs. Three other players had two hits including Kienon Eirhart with a double, home run and three RBI, Dillan Elam with a single, triple and two RBI and Tyler Robbins with two singles and three RBI. Jared Hammer had a dinger in the fourth inning and finished with three RBI. Kaidyn  Miller added a single and an RBI.

Robbins pitched the Indians to victory going four innings, allowing six runs on eight hits, one walk while striking out five.

Altamont had a 14-run opening inning.
