First baseman Freddie Freeman has agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Dodgers on a six-year, $162 million deal, according to media reports Wednesday night.

The 32-year-old was a free agent for the first time after spending his entire 12-year career with the Atlanta Braves, including helping them win the World Series last year.

Freeman was the National League MVP in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, and made five All-Star teams.
